After an interstate move and attempts to temporarily settle in with my new roommates (à la my parents), I am back in the kitchen! I am also the proud new owner of a butter yellow Kitchen Aid mixer - as if baking wasn't fun enough?! The kitchen is an even brighter spot now with this amazing appliance.
Crunchy, but smooth. Sweet, but tart. This cherry and oatmeal cookie is full of wonderfully warm contradictions. Using apple sauce in place of oil and skim milk in place of whole, this cookie could even be considered healthy. Now, I CAN go for that.
